History
The history of Bégin & Bégin inc. began on the shores of Lake Témiscouata, Quebec. After launching operations in this resource-rich region dense with timber, the hardwood sawmill started up by Mr. Paul Bégin relocated in 1934 to Lots-Renversés in the municipality of Saint-Juste-du-Lac.
Today, the mill boasts an operation covering 30,000 sq. ft. of production area with three separate processing units:
- an area for production of woodchips;
- an area for sawing pre-cut pallet stock;
- an area for processing large-diameter logs,
which drives the greatest share of the company's sales.
Bégin & Bégin inc. generates 55 direct jobs at its production site and another
50 indirect jobs elsewhere in the logging industry. |
